Mike grew up in the western part of South Dakota on a farming and ranching operation. After high school, he obtained his Radiologic Technology degree from Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota and a Commercial Economics degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD. After a successful career in radiology while working throughout the southwest parts of the United States, Mike and his family moved back to South Dakota in 1998. At that time, Mike joined his father-in-law Al Breske and brother-in-law Tim Breske in the family crop insurance business. With Al's retirement in 2000, Mike and Tim bought the agency. Mike and his wife, Terry, have two children, Jesse and Caitlyn, and one beagle, Millie. In his spare time, Mike enjoys anything to do with the great outdoors - hunting, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, boating, etc. He also enjoys attending SDSU sporting events and completing yard work.
